noob question about JP/VP
i came back after firelands hit so i dont know what they do with the points? will the VP be turned into JP will the current VP gear drop down to the JP vendor prices..
so should i spend my VP before 4.3 hits or save it? will the cap still be 4k JP?
anyone that can help would be nice.. or if someone has a detailed link they can send me to with the info i am seeking that'd be swell to...
thanks

Re: noob question about JP/VP
The JP cap will still be 4k. VP will be converted to JP when 4.3 hits. The only reason to save your VP is if you have 4k JP (or a lot) and would like your VP to convert into gold.
When 4.3 hits, current VP gear will become JP gear (and, as a result, easily farmable).

^ what he said.
Something worth mentioning is the VP to gold conversion (if you would go past 4k JP cap) is not very good and you may be better off trying to sell the current VP bracers.
You get 150 VP from any RDF and the new VP gear is 397.
The new 5 mans drop 378 gear, unsure what ilvl you need to enter them.

Re: noob question about JP/VP
I thought it might be that. Just seen this though - Modified Gear Level (PTR Only) (Your maximum item level is throttled to 353 for purposes of dungeon testing on the PTR.)
4.0 - 329, drops 346
4.1 - 346, drops 353
4.3 - 353/365, drops 378
For steadypal I think it would be worth being at ilvl 353/365 when the next patch hits by dropping JP on patchday on the 378 gear if not there already.
LFR might require 378.

Unless they've changed it recently, it's 378 gear. I've definitely seen 4.3 dungeon runs that dropped 378 gear and I believe MMO-Champion showed 378 gear, as well.

^--Drops are indeed 378, ilvl required to enter them in the first place is what's in question.

365 to enter, not what drops. 378 loots are pretty much indisputable.

My PTR char in fact has a 378 belt from End Time that is pretty good!

Is that confirmed? I hadn't read it anywhere but I might've missed it.

Re: noob question about JP/VP
Not sure on the enter, but the drops are for sure. They have WAY too many items out on the ptr to go and dumb them all down in time.

Re: noob question about JP/VP
I'm more concerned about the ilevel requirement for entry on my alts.

Re: noob question about JP/VP
To enter hasn't been confirmed.
It should be either 353 or 365 to enter. 365 might be a tad high.

365 sounds right.
353 from trolls
359 from old JP
378 from 'new' jp
365 from molten front.

Re: noob question about JP/VP
365 feels high to me at the moment. My best geared alt, who has no actual raid gear, barely just cleared the requirement with her 366 ilevel. None of my other alts would qualify.
