Re: R.I.P. Steve Jobs
I'll thank you all to keep the Apple bashing out of this forum. It's in poor taste especially in this thread.

I have used Apple computers almost every day of my life for 30 years, and I have ALWAYS been a satisfied customer. From IIe - MBP = Pure Win. RIP Steve, I hope they can preserve your legacy.

I still have a G3 fully functioning with a copy of CS2 Master collection on it that I bust out from time to time. God that comp and I had some fun.

The beige G3 or the blue and white one? Both were excellent.

An apple was the first computer I ever saw/used.
Was in grade 2, 1 for our classroom.
I played 'Wavy Navy' and 'Where in the world is Carmen Sandeago'

It's a pity this won't get the kind of attention Jobs did: one of the greatest inventors of our time just died, whose work touches the lives of every individual on Earth who uses a computer, and it's slipping by mostly unnoticed.

Four out of five of my regularly visited web sites are awash with this. The definition of "unnoticed" is almost as perplexing as the definition of pineapples.

Re: R.I.P. Steve Jobs
That's the general problem with pop culture: it's absolutely not homogenous.
For example, we're awash with SWTOR, and the very mention of the acronym is instantly recognised, but for many Star Wars fans, the concept of a new video game about Star Wars would be shoking news.
And even what we'd all "mainstream" pop culture is little more than a fancy way of talking about "generalist news culture".

I think they should rename Siri to Steve. "Hey Steve! I'm feeling kinda horny, find me an escort!"
All joking aside, it is interesting that he passed at more or less the same time as the launch of their AI.

I wish they would make the command word "Siri" customizable to whatever you want.
My friend said if he can hack it he will make it R2 (Yes he's an uber Star Wars fan) or Bitch. "Bitch let's go home" lol
