I didn't realize the offer had an expiration date. But I DID think it was neat that you had to have a full working copy of WoW active on October 18th, before they announced it.

Just before the American Thanksgiving Holiday? Youch. I'd put more credence on the 29th, if the drop day is going to be sooner than later (e.g., not mid-December).

Nothing announced, but there's a debuff on the PTR that scales your gear down to ilvl 353, so probably somewhere in that vicinity.

I'm just repeating what my Blizzard-employed guildmates told me (for some weird reason, we have 11 of them in our ranks).

I'm not calling you a liar or anything, but I am honestly surprised to hear Blizz employees can identify themselves as such on the game. Or did I misread that from a blue's post where they talked about not *always* saying they work for Blizz?
Well, it's not like I'm likely to have an employee in our french guild

In-game, they can't. Out-of-game channels, on other hand, are another matter altogether. It's not like Blizz can eavesdrop on every Skype conversation or IRL guild meeting.

Yeah, I can see that happening with employees following the letter of the rule

Yowza. This is going to make scheduling around the holidays more awkward. Also, is there no odd interaction with the end of PvP seasons etc?

It'd not be surprising to see the season ending not coincide with a patch. Actually that has been almost always the case so far, *insert whining from PvPers needing to get PvE weapons to compete*

Yeah but why would you then talk about it on a WoW fansite? Why would you want them to potentially get fired.
