I noticed that too... though I think some of this is due to the gearing difference from when I first did TB dailies, and also because it seems the tanking NPCs actually hold aggro when they are supposed to. The molten front can get interesting in some spots because of the rapid spawn rates, but that's no different than TB back when folks still cared about the dailies there.

They don't try, you're too badass.

They don't succeed holding aggro off my Shaman, but they try, and occasionally taunt.
As to the TB dailies, I think the damage and aggro radius has been reduced on a lot of stuff in that area from what they were at launch. The ghosts in Largo's Overlook, at least, are not as nasty.

Ah yeah I thought there was some taunt action going on in there.

I overstated: They at least try. I've noticed that if they get there first, it takes me a bit before I get it, but if I'm there first I end up with it (I quest prot-specced, though) or it bounces. Unlike previous quest helpers who couldn't seem to hold aggro if I even walked near one of the mobs.

For me it was the TB mini-dungeons... those first couple weeks were rough as you could have some mobs respawning just as soon as you killed them, and occasionally their neighbors coming back too. It still sometimes happens with the crocs, but most folks seem to not bother with the TB dailies these days on my server.

Which one is the "correct" one for the BS patterns?
Recruit an Armorer is the quest name I think.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Once you're at the point where you can unlock the vendors, you can also already preview what they'll be selling once you unlock them. They're basically always vendors, the items they sell just require you to have completed the appropriate quest before you can buy them. So if you want to be sure you're picking the right one, just check what they're selling first.Flex wrote:Nikachelle wrote:KysenMurrin wrote:You need to unlock both set of dailies and then pay 125 Marks to the correct vendor, amounting to a total of 425 Marks needed after opening the Molten Front to get the recipes.

Tip for Druids of the Talon:
For "Into the Fire" today the druid that clears the fire was bugged and not spawning. Eventually, I mounted and ran up the left hand edge of the fire, making it into the clear just before I died. Healed up, soloed the elemental in the middle (no NPCs spawned there, either), and successfully got quest credit and dropped down the hole.
It was much faster than following the druid and killing the adds. don't think I'm going to do this quest the "correct" way any more.

now that I have unlocked the second set of dailies on two characters the other two are retired for now.

For the 'into the fire' quest, the add spawns after it completes its jurney assuming someone else is waiting for a spawn. If you just missed then sometimes you have to wait. If there is still a clear zone to the add, you can run up and join the quest, but if there is not a clear zone you would probably die from fire damage before reaching the NPC.
People do not have to be in the same party to share a spawn. However, you will get one set of adds per person on the quest. So if two of you two adds, and the adds aggro to either one of you so be carefull or you can draw double duty by accident.
I also noticed that at least one of the acheivements is bugged. There is a partial acheivement for killing a sentry down below while it is carrying a party member. This does not give you credit if you are solo and kill it yourself while it carries you. Presumably you must be in a party to get credit.
The bombing run special creatures do appear to give credit while not in a party if you are fortunate enough to have other bomber-run players nearby attacking the special MoBs.
Never Pug a random Troll Heroic, always wait for the guild group.

Yeah, this time there were 3 other people standing waiting for ~5 minutes, I joined an instance, finished the run, and came back to still no NPC. No one else was on the quest already (you could see there was nothing going on all the way up). The elite elemental when I got there was alone and full health.
Still, I think running up the side will be a big time saver compared to the escort portion, which I've done successfully the last couple times.

I was waiting yesterday, and finally got bored and rode up there, where someone was fighting the mob. Helped kill the mob, got credit, and moved on.

I can't imagine how you'd die riding along the left side, did it on my hunter by just casting Gift of the Naaru on myself, mounting up and riding through - there's only a few seconds where you actually have to touch the fire.
And no, the NPC to be escorted definitely wasn't spawning at all, same as on Kysen's server.
