This doesn't diminish the security of Blizzard's authenticators. They didn't crack RSA's encryption. or any other similar level encryption. They hacked the company through a backdoor in hardware, and stole customer info.
Authenticators are as secure as they've ever been.

We have 3 separate PC's on the same ADSL home network.
2 of the computers haven't needed the authenticator since the change. Not sure about the 3rd.
We opted for the static IP address.
