The Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie only runs thru Memorial Day, so its over for the year. I believe the fair-folk travel to other similar fairs, and I'm not certain where they go next.

I used to work there before I joined the AF... My parents live ~10 minutes away. There is also a Halloween theme park (Screams) in the same location on the weekends in October.

They were using this location as a muster location for people evacuating for the forest fires last week, but they ended up having to leave there too as the fires were closing in. No idea if it took any actual damage though.

Ahhh Ren Faires! I vaguely remember going to one when I was younger somewhere here in Toronto, but I can't for the life of me remember where it was. The only ren fair I've seen advertised is actually the grounds... but there doesn't seem to be any festivals. I'd love to go to one... it must be about fifteen or so years since I've gone.

It's been quite some times since I've been to a ren faire. I'd have to dig up my garb. Alas, it's Ranger wear, not Paladin. I don't want to wear plate. ><
