Would be more appropriate for a mage IMO. Especially since the actual Mage set is pretty poor.

Honestly, all of the new sets look pretty "same-y" to me.

I don't think it looks to bad especially if the Plated-Robe has decent graphics on it this time round.
I mostly don't like the way the helm is modeled, the concept is fine and very T2ish but the way its rounded or something makes it look almost like it should be a warlock helm that have been colored for Pallys.
I like the feel of these sets for far, they all feel very Firelandish without getting that T10 feel of dressing as enemy's.
Besides were modeled after Ragnaros himself!

The pally set looks like it should be for a lock.
Looking at the other sets...
My orc hunter is quite happy. That set will look great on an orc.
My dwarf hunter is quite sad, that will look terrible on a dwarf.
DKs get the best set again.
Priests will be contacting their lawyers for the injury accident that is requiring that neck brace.
Mages could be cool as well if the animations are good.

It's like T2 but less plate-y. So meh to that.

i am reserving judgement until i can see the 3d models on teh races

Yes, it is far better than something that washed up from a hurricane (dead murloc, fishing tackle, and all).. but it still will look terrible on a dwarf.
