Done.
Minor caveat: maintankadin people are highly unlikely to match your profile of the average avid gamer. I suspect we're a bit more geeky in the theorycrafting sense of the word -- for obvious reasons

Done. I like that the survey seamlessly moves you from one to another without really letting you know.
Good luck and let us know the results!

Yeah, that was a concern that I had. I've noticed that people who frequent gaming forums tend to trend past normal levels of geekdom.
Unfortunately, many of the non-gaming oriented forums that I was planning on posting in have either asked me not to, or required some sort of research certification from my school.

Re: Stereotypes of Gamers
That kinda sucks, because it would be very interesting to get a larger community cross section. I'm sure there are thousands, if not millions, of people out there who don't consider themselves hardcore gamers but when they have to think about how to respond to these questions they probably would be - case in point, a friend of mine who probably spends at least 2 hours per day playing FIFA 2011 but says he's not a gamer.
I wonder how something like this would go down around FB/Twitter? Although I suspect someone's probably already had a stab at that. But I reckon you'd get similar responses to the one above from people who spend 5-10 hours a day on FB and don't think they have a problem.
Good job on the questions though....had to think about the ones around how open I am with gaming, I mean, I'm definitely a nerd but don't go around the office quoting Tolkien or anything like that.

I'd guess, prejudiced as I am, that MMO-champ and the official forums would yield a better average, albeit still only representing those verbally confident enough to voice written opinions.
What I referred to with 'geeky' is that I'd expect the maintankadin community to represent views more commonly found among game-designers than 'pure' game-consumers. My prejudice tells me I'd have an easier time finding people here I'd trust to implement solutions server-side compared with client-side

I'm just a dumb, uneducated Marine who like the idea of hitting dragons with big hammers.

Re: Stereotypes of Gamers
Will you post your findings once you conclude your survey? I'd be interested to see the results.
