Are you looking for a specific farm? Like "I want to farm mobs that drop (Item)?"
or are you just asking "I need a good place to herd and burn out mobs for exp / green drops?"

Don't forget to use a Treasure Finding potion from alchemists where ever you go. It adds up a lot and supposedly works on cloth drops as well.

If you want volatile air, it is surprisingly worthwhile to solo the opening trash packs of Vortex Pinnacle (normal).

Yeah, I should've been more specific. But if you don't have a gathering engineer handy, go farm some VP trash.

Their is an amazing new gadget for engineers that lets you collect Volatile Airs from mining, Skinning, Herbing... it's really awesome and I pray they don't nerf it.. I actually dropped my mining on another toon just to put it on a toon with engineering for all the Volatiles.

Why would they nerf it? It's the only way to get volatile air that doesn't involve a 24 hour cooldown or a lot of dead air elementals. Volatile air being restricted to gathering engineers is something I am 100% okay with.

So, this tip is for miners.
In Twilight Highlands, the very southwest part, there is a mining cave called Elementium Depths. I kid you not, I have had 5 nodes on my minimap at once. The nodes are elementium and pyrite. You'll have to kill mobs in there...they're mining elementium...but it's not too bad. They drop Embercloth which is going to 20g a stack on my server, so it's worth it to kill them.
Averaging about 1k gold an hour including coin loot, vender trash, random greens/blues, and auction material.
On my server, I'm usually the only there for most of the time.

On my server there is a kiting, nijaing rogue who makes sure he gets the nodes. He used to hang out in the cave in Mt. Hyjal (the Hovel), kiting mobs onto miners then vanishing. He has moved on apparently.
