No word yet if the mob tagging technique is gonna fly again. Last time it got him banned

Well, 70-80 only took him a few hours... then a little while longer he got banned and it all got taken away.

actually, he only came close to lvl 80 before getting banned. He was mob tagging inside instances, dropping group and then joining the group back.

Ohh, that's right, I remember that now! He was at what, 78-79 or something? Is he doing it outside instances this time? I hear that's actually legit.

Yeah, that's how Nyhm (or whatever his names was) got world first 80. He tagged mobs in the outside world, while Athene got banned for doing it in instances.
Not my cup of tea, but good effort from his guild to get him to 85 so fast.

But why is he wearing the heirlooms, which makes me think they might be bugged and still giving extra rep from killing creatures. If that's the case then he's cheating and thus likely to be suspended

It might be that they still scale though - just that the xp bonus doesn't work.

They shouldn't, they should only scale 1-80 as per tooltip.

Re: Forscience: World First lvl 85
There has to be a reason why he's wearing the heirlooms. After all, they're actually lvl 187 equivalent at lvl 80-- my money is on an xp granting bug

If they did, it would have to be a bug, I think... they do say Level 1-80 (XX). His 80 gear was not great I heard, but there's no way it was worse than the level 80 heirlooms.

Considering who it is, he might also just be wearing the heirlooms to make wonder if there's anything about the heirlooms.Klaudandus wrote:There has to be a reason why he's wearing the heirlooms. After all, they're actually lvl 187 equivalent at lvl 80-- my money is on an xp granting bug

There were some hotfixes this morning, I'd not be surprised they were actually bugged at one point.
