What is on your cata checklist to finish before it is released. And have you completed your preparations?

My list:
- Upgrade account: Done
- Justice cap: Done
- Honor cap: Almost done
- 25 quests: Done
- Find leveling group: Done
- Get epic gems for leveling JCing: Not Aquired (only 2)
- Meta gem, head and shoulder enchant for my first JP gear: Aquired

How do you do the account upgrade again? Was planning to do that before I left for work Monday, so stuff is ready when I get home with the game.

Go to battle.net. And before you are even able to enter the site you well get a huge add saying "Upgrade Now". Click on it.

I'm just about done in game and IRL. In game I have just a couple more hundred JP to get then I need to park at Hodir and that'll be me ready, got a few dozen flasks and foods, emptied bags of everything I can.

IRL I just need to swing my body clock round half a day or so. It's currently 0245, not planning on sleeping until at least 0700, later if possible. I'll get up in the middle of the afternoon, go grab some last minute supplies, have some dinner, take a cat nap and get up a couple hours before Cata is due to go live. I'm planning on leveling to 85 without stopping, if at all possible (I'm hoping the bad weather we have been having makes it possible).

Level my shamans herbalism.

You're talking about this.

First open the WTF folder
open Launcher.wtf
where it says "SET accountType "LK"
change LK to CT
save then close

Next open Config.wtf
where it says "SET accounttype "LK"
change LK to CT
save then close

Open with the launcher and Cata should start to download.

As a contractor without paid leave, I envy you this one the most. I can't even justify the cost of 1 day off for a game.

Two weeks' mandatory leave over Christmas though. I'll only be a couple of weeks behind.
