Their constant flying form is a bit of an advantage, but I might try this since I saved a broom mount from the Halloween event inside its loot-filled pumpkin so the duration never went down. That means I will have two weeks of instant mount at 310% speed + crusader + Aura Mastery, which should make me able to gather herbs faster than a (non-Tauren) druid.

Brilliant! Wish I had thought of it.

Going to try for 1st enchanting.

I wanted to try and go for a Paldin realm first, but at first I've found out that at the London launch there will be Ghostcrawler as guest, so I'll be there to have my CE signed and I'll be late for server's opening, then I've got confirmed this morning that I've got a job interview on Wednesday morning, hence Tuesday I'll have to sleep at a decent time to catch an early train to Oxford. Meh...

EDIT: just came to mind that I'm going to miss the opening night as I've got tickets to see Weird Al Yankovic that night. To be fair I'm happier this way

I don't know if I am going to be realm first but I'll be grinding Archaeology like a night elf babe dancing on a maibox!

I want Assistant Professor, damnit.

I had it in my hand!
This belongs in a Museum!

Sadly, the "Why did it have to be snakes?" has been used on some mere trollish tom-foolery.

I have the luck of being effectively snowed in currently with no way to get to/from uni, so come Sunday and Monday I'll be shifting my body clock so it's more in line with the midnight release. Can't hurt to try and go for the first 85 Paladin. One of our Shaman has become an encyclopedia on the new 80+ quests and is also going for a realm first 85, hopefully I can keep up with him.

I had a plan to go for realm first engineer, but at one point during beta, those achievements had been scrubbed from the database, and when speaking with blizzard about it during beta, they said that they had decided there would be no realm first achievements in Cata for professions. So I burnt my stockpile of gold on things I didn't really need, but wanted. Now that they are back in, I'm more than a little perturbed at blizzard.

It doesn't matter to me though, I'm pretty sure that by the time I get to put any serious work into Cataclysm (tuesday night) most profs will be realm first complete already. I will just have to continue to strive towards being the most "complete" Engineer on the realm (there is only one active ENG on server who has more patterns than me, and he is a dirty alliance gnome :( )

It depends on the profession. JC will require tokens so it will be a few days there. The most of the others will require getting to L84 and unlocking Twilight Highlands to get their 510+ recipes....but you know that already.

Hey, how were you able to check the recipes like that? I wonder where I stand on Fenris with respect to completion-ism.

I used one of the census sites (I don't remember which one) that allowed me to parse the armory for characters on my realm and patterns learned from the statistics. I will see if I can find the post I made about it on my guild site that has the links.

Oddly enough, when I did it (a couple of months ago) not a single person on my realm has all the ENG schematics. I guess this isn't terribly surprising since some of the schematics are incredibly rare drops

Incredibly Rare Schematic list
http://www.wowhead.com/item=16055 - Since I have been on realm this recipe has gone to auction twice. Once, when I bought it for ~2k, and once when I recently sold it, for a sum 10x that amount. (I put it up for a large sum so that I could show people that I had it, and was trying to broker a sale in trade. It sold overnight)

I've only seen that on our AH once (from the times I have checked for eng schematics), and was up for like 2k.

I would pay 2k.
I would pay 5k for SWP schematics.
I'm not paying 10k for either.

Make me some crashin thrashin robots and place them on the neutral AH.

I hear that. I just paid 500 gp for the Flawless Arcanite Rifle schematic and was glad to do so. Darn Mossflayer trolls wouldn't drop it. Sadly, no MC drops for me. I should have a look at the new DM and see what they've done with the Tribute Run.

(I am the man who arranges the blocks that fall from up above!)

Edit: English is hard.

The tribute run is alive and well, I completed a full tribute run on my troll druid while leveling. It was INTENSE. All of the gear that drops from it is now at least blue quality, and the 2h'd axe is now a lvl44 req epic.
