Rocket or chicken gun? (gnome vs goblin eng)

Ive had my goggles for bout a month now but i still cant decide which eng spec to go.
The poly trinket seems so extremely useful for getting those PITA caster mobs to come over to me when theres no mage in the group, or for stopping that key heal when HOJ/BE silence is on CD.
The rocket gun has less than half the CD time, 45 vs 30 yard range, a decent stun, and suprisingly good dmg.

For 90% of stuff, 5 man melee pack pulling, 25 man careful pulls, straight up dmg...the gun is >>>better

But for that last 10%, that single caster in a heroic with no LOS, that mage nuking you from up on a hill, the heal you REALLY wanna silence but your craps on CD....its god

ARRRRRG someone thats tried them please help, tell me every single mob in heroics are immune to the poly or something i need a strong reason for one over the other so i can finally get my 45 stam.

TBH, neither is overwhelmingly good. The poultryizer fails and backfires a lot - so it's really just a matter of whether you want a rocket launcher or a Gadgetzan transporter.

rocket works every time.
chicken doesn't.

Be it 5, 10, or 25 man, I get more use of an imba ranged single target pull than a cc that might not work on a long cd.

You can pull with the Poultryizer even if the mob is immune. You just won't have much threat on it

I went Gnomish. Gadgetzan transporter is nice for COT instances, and Toshley's is fine because I'm Alliance.

unless there's some major tankadin reason, I can't imagine why you'd consider anything other than the fact that gnomish gets you a port to tanaris (used to be great for AQ20/40, now for COT/Hyjal/All Future CoT instances), while Goblin gets you out to butt-fuck-nowhere-winterspring (which is pretty much one flight away from darnasus/orgrimmar anyway).

Back in pre-TBC WoW I used to think "at least when Hyjal comes out, my Winterspring port will be useful, since it's going to be nearby..." But nope, they put Hyjal in f'ing Tanaris too.

At least it was useful for a couple of weeks camping the hunter quest demon.

If you like to PvP, I believe the Poultryizer can't be used in arenas while the rocket launcher definitely can. My warrior lost an epic 2v2 once to a rooted rogue that rocketed me mid-intercept so the mage could get away with 10% health.
