Yeah the price does fluctuate.
I just snipe whenever the price drops below 5g.
Build up the stocks on my tailor for the expac.

I'm waiting for Whiptail to get in the 20g/stack range, otherwise I'll be content to sit it out and just wait for the new mats. Ele is starting to go sub-20g/stack, but not quite low enough for me to chase it.

Damn Hala! Your server is SPENDY man! I just crafted up 160 H. Shards with all the Elem i ganked for the cheap.

I just leveled another Prot Pally on a high pop realm, because my home realm is deserted right now.
I did the Potion of Treasure Finding grind at Needlerock Chasm. The greens, requiring lvl 79-80 sell extremely well, now that people play their x'th toon to kill the boredom. From 60 up to 300 gold a piece. Plus ~300 cloth/hour and other crafting materials from the chests.
I made about 3-4k per hour/potion. Still a good way to get started.
Also, once you've got some gold, you can start to buy up the underpriced greens and put them back in. It's almost guaranteed, that they sell within the first 48 hours (given that the realm is buzzing). People don't care for the price, they just want to be able to join Blackrock Caverns and Throne of Tides.

Well...my gold cart is my Beast Master Hunter that is Mining/Tailor. I get TONS more cloth from the PoTF! so much gold from JUST that alone.

Happened to be browsing the "Known Issues 5.0.4" thread:
Inks sold by Inscription Supplies Vendors will appear to cost Ink of Dreams. These inks can still be purchased normally with Blackfallow Ink.
