soooo yeah... i was tanking him and didn't notice it at the time, but.... 09/29/07 10:37:04, Moroes crits you for 6018.

i have 505 defense in my tanking gear, why did this happen. My understanding of the universe is about to be shattered! tell me why!!!!!

Edit: sorry i'm just confused about this, although i suppose it's possiable for him to crit me while i'm stunned but at the same time.... it's not a crush it's a crit.......... ::holds his head in pain:: IT DOESN"T MAKE ANY SENSE!

You didn't have "brittle bones" debuff did you?

lets assume that i'm not a total retard ^^; which is quite a assumtion but... anyway, lets assume that i'm not.

then, this assumtion would also lead to the conclusion that i would have noticed said debuff because i would have been a skelly.

i'm pretty sure i didn't, not to mention i said over vent, "wow thats a first no brittle bones" ^^; but that is a good guess, but no i'm pretty sure that i didn't have the debuff.

Yeah brittle bones won't get you crit I don't think. Yes accidentially clicking on one of the million chairs can, or of course bumping your sit key.

Kvark, you almost had to be sitting, or bumped the sit key. Even if it can't be removed from the attack table, at best it's an incredibly small chance, like say 1 out of 10,000, or we'd see it all the time, to get 3 at the same time is going against truely astronomical odds.

sitting was actually not the problem, I had however a lagspike just prior to that. How the server treats lag, no clue.

hmm sorry about being off topic but how do you get the combat log to only show attacks on yourself?

I got crit the other day when i was drinking, ya obvious enough but it slipped my mine and i flipped. after a good min of WTF and reading over everything i realized it and felt stupid. i agree with them tho you might have bumped the sit key and not realized, there is alot to focus on.

I got crushed the other day by Curator. I was in shock about why because I'm uncrushable. So after reading my combat log over 3x I noticed the crush hit just after holysheild faded because of lag it wasnt instantly back up.

As for the crit thing, yea id say if you were trying to maneuver Moroes around the room so you could consecrate or so melee could blade furry or something you tapped x.

To my understanding, 490 def is simply where crits cap. However, regardless of your def skill, there is a chance, although incredibly small that you will still be crit. The chance past 490 def is a very very tiny fraction of a percent, but it is still there.

This is untrue. There is no supporting evidence for this kind of claim. Open your character sheet and mouse over your defense skill. Reduces your chance to be crit by 5.6% if you're at 490 defense. That's exactly the crit chance of mobs that are 3 levels higher than you (boss mobs). Barring extenuating circumstances (sitting, debuffs, abnormal crit rate) you cannot be crit while over 490 defense.
