Sindragosa 10 Heroic down.

Progression is now ICC25 11/12 and ICC10 Heroic 11/12.

Battleground levelling is pretty OP in that range. I pushed my rogue through the high 50s in AV in no time. About 3-4 BGs per level sounds right.

Indeed it is, Only the AV que's at Lightbringer-EU ranges from 2 hours to 8 hours waiting time... so never getting into one before I grow bored of waiting =P

Teamed up with my personal pally tank yesterday and got my priest to 58, before I landed from the flight path between Dark Portal and Thrallmar, I had already finished a Ramps run lol... OP que's when you got a tank and healer ^^

Thats best tactic in my opinion. Probably will try to do it with only 2 healers.
I think LK without ICC buff wasn't doable with one tank.

Lost out on at least 12 Emblems of Frost and the chance to upgrade my neck and bracers, coz we extended last week's lockout, but our off-team burned thru the Prof, Valithria, BPC and BQL..., and we got Sindra to 29% on our first try, with only 2 out of 10 seeing her before :D

Wiped a couple of times, and eventually had to call it due to the time, after we managed to bring her down to 21%...

We'll prolly go to ICC25 this week to upgrade some people's gear, coz they really did very good, but despite their efforts, overall DPS just wasn't enough to burn Sindra down :?

And this happened the same night the A-team got their first kill on Sindra, so even though our little group started doing ICC 6 weeks later than they have, we're catching up on them :P

New Guild First full week and we burned through to PP in about 90 minutes last night...one shotted everything until PP then got him on 4th attempt for about 90% of our's first PP kill. tonight and tomorrow night going to hopefully get through to sindragosa. Helps having a geared tank that is 11/12 ICC 10 that just joined our guild.

Note, old guild would not start ICC until thursday or friday night and take 3-4 hours to get to PP and then we would inevitably be tired wipe and not get in before raid reset and no one ever would want to extend the lockout because that would mean losing easy frost badges. So glad that we formed a new guild with the people who actually want to raid.

AND FINALLY GOT RID OF RIMEFANG'S CLAW!!! GOT FACELIFTER SLAPPED MONGOOSE ON IT. THOUGH STILL NO NEVERENDING WINTER UGH.
And sunday should be bringing my hunter into his first ICC 25 run.

Guild finally down Lich King after our first raid lock extension. I had to work in the first hour of the raid, and by the time I got online, the OT spot is already taken, but they still need a fire mage, so that's what I came in as. And we killed Lich King for the first time. I would be happier if my main has the Kingslayer 25 title rather than the mage alt.

Was finally able to secure some loot again yesterday. First time in months. Valithria dropped her heroic boots (first boots we ever saw) and Festergut dropped his belt (first one on heroic ever)

Now all I need to be in full ICC gear is a weapon.

Ran another fresh lock on my DK tank. Hit 6 bosses, didn't get any loot (boo :() but I got honored for the new ring.

There were many times on trash that I was hitting 10-12k dps while AoE tanking (geist packs, bone guy packs). It was AWESOME>

As a frustration though, DK threat is too good right now. On our festergut work, the warrior tank ran in, took him first, and I followed in 3-5 seconds later (he charged when I started channeling AotD). I pulled aggro on him with IT - PS - BS. Sure, I think part of it might have been a threat problem on his part, but WOW..... Icy Touch is a little OP right now.

Can you explain to me the Icy Touch thing? Is that with a glyph of something? I so rarely tank on my DK that I usually do heroics and Howling Blast is my go to spell, almost never using Icy Touch.

But on some VOA 10 run, the DK said something to me while I was on my paladin, like "I know your gear is far FAR better than mine, but I'm going to eventually outthreat you so I should probably tank this instead." I just sort of smiled at him and said, "well you can try." And luckily he DIDN'T get aggro, but I think I had a hunter MDing me constantly. But I'd heard of this Icy Touch insane aggro... but I don't know much about it.

Icy Touch does 7x threat when in Frost Presence, since 3.3.3, IIRC.

Yes. I don't consider it all that overpowered, really. It has the potential to be abused by bad tanks that value having aggro over good teamwork with another tank. I've never really seen anyone play that way, so I don't know how effective it really is at ripping aggro from other tank classes who are playing competently.

Even then, I can only assume the Warrior has serious player issues to lose threat to Shoju's DK *that* easily, without a substantial gear gap between the 2. Bad gearing, bad talents, bad ability usage, or whatever.

I have to think that he didn't go with a 'good' threat start, though he is a rock solid player, who is hit capped and exp soft capped, which means that at worst it was a slow to get moving issue. I was just blown away at how fast it took off.

There are some cases where IT heavy rotations can be a good thing, but never at the expense of leaving another tank in the dust just to be a nub.

There are times where having the big IT threat is nice. We had adds pop when Deathwhisper came active, and I wrangled them all by IT - tab - IT - Tab - (Tap)IT - ERW - DnD - HB and I had the three adds under control, so that DPS could go crazy to get them down.

When they made the change the IT, they wanted it to be a Shield slam-ish ability with high threat. Light testing shows that it is more than shield slam tps wise. will have to find the SS of it.

To the point that some DK tanks go out of their way to spec for just IT spam that gives them ungodly aggro but their damage drops like a big of really heavy potatoes. It's a very clutch spec and too insane for me to ever use.

The primary issues with the IT boost is the frequency with which it can be used, especially by a frost DK, compared to a warrior's shield slam. Running an IT-heavy rotation and watching my timing to synergize with KM procs, it is easy to hold a sustained ~20k tps on my 245-251 geared DK on most bosses in ICC. The snap threat is just stupidly high, and should honestly probably be distributed a bit better... but we've had this discussion before in other threads. The point about tank dps dropping off is legitimate, but running with dps that significantly outgear my alt, the tradeoff is more that worth it... more rDPS would be lost be threatcapping them (specfically, I'm looking at you, dps frost DKs, kitty druids, and locks).

Finally saw the Swift Zulian Tiger drop, was beautiful. Let my friend have it since she's been going forever, and I had given up a long time ago.

I wish more boss skins were as awesome as the tiger in phase 2.

Finally stepped foot into ICC 10 on my mage last night. Completely screwed up raid comp (pally tank, pally healer, warrior tank, fury warrior x2, holy priest x2, shadow priest, affliction lock, and my frost mage). And yet, on overall dps (and most bosses), I was 2nd behind the better geared warlock.

That has to count for something, right?
