Dueling against Warlock strat

What the best gear choice / strategy to duel with a warlock?

I know it is kind of off-topic, but I also know you will help a lot ^^


doest it worth using medalion of the hord to cut fear effect? does my prot gear (defense, dodge, etc...) have any function at all?

should I use fire or shadow resist aura?

Depends what kind of 'lock you're up against for the aura.

Not really sure what else you're going to use your trinket on when dueling a 'lock either.

I'd personally say spec Ret and crit their face off. If you get close, chances are you'll be able to burst them a good chunk of their health. Cloth is funtimes.

You have no answer at ALL to any spec warlock as a prot pally. You will lose badly. You probably won't even hit a good one with anything but AS.

Spec ret, use SR aura, fear pet, stun/crit like mad. Then you have a good chance since chances are they won't have a shred of resilience yet... but it will be a fight involving a bit of skill.

Demo locks get owned easily as prot. SR aura and pvp trinket go a long way, and so do cleansing quickly.

I did that a few times and it DOES get the locks all upset (the ones I dueled against).

From putting me on ignore to swearing and calling me names. I don't know if these were adults or children but each time it has been funny as heck to see and experience.

Okay, this is very complex, so follow to the letter:

1. Put on Shadow Resistance Aura
2. Buff up, have trinket ready
3. Equip a 2H
4. Start the fight by nuking down the pet
5. When they cast fear on you, wait for it to finish and continue running

Seal and Judge Light on the pet, especially if it is melee, free health while you kill it (mainly did that with BM hunters, so I dunno if it works on warlock pets as well)

At level 75 (prot) I got ganked by an afflication warlock. He got the jump on me right after I finished off an AoE pull. I had 75% health, but almost no mana. There in lied the problem, he just mana drained me while I auto attacked for 300-600 every 3 seconds. Such a freakin' joke.

After I rezzed I healed, buffed and drank...then I went looking for him. At full health and mana I still had a difficult time with a lock 5 levels under me...but I managed to burst him down.

I wouldnt' equip a two hander if you are prot, you loose as and hor.
