Might be a good thing (low CD interrupt?) or a pretty useless thing (snare?)
Either way what happened to "filling in" on our weak areas with it? :3
EDIT: What would you like to see that would both benefit us and help Ret paladin in pvp?
We are also sympathetic to the notion that if Ret can't do insane burst damage, that the spec might need other tools to be viable in PvP. We're exploring this now, possibly though the missing 11-point Prot talent, possibly through other avenues. We'll let you know when we've made a decision here.

Yeah, the idea of putting a ret pvp talent 11 points into the prot tree is kind of meh. I'm betting that it'll be some kind of charge/intercept/intervene ability.
Edit: which I certainly wouldn't mind -- I miss Intervene dearly. Well, not as much anymore since threat is kind of lol in post-3.0.
One of Ret's big hangups is that they have no ability to close, and poor stuns. Making the 11 pointer in prot hits two items:
- ret can close and (in theory) stun
- prot has better mobility

I think it's a bit insulting to prot unless it's also very useful and good for us or makes us tankadins more viable in pvp.
If necessity is the mother of invention, laziness must be the father.

Yeah, I was thinking of a charge too. Meanhwile we can't get a single target taunt because of homogenization.
I'm so used to not having a charge, I'm pretty unimpressed with getting one as our 11 pointer.

I am sure we can put our minds together and come up with Crusader's Charge!!
Crusader's Charge: requires 10 points in protection.
Charge your enemy causing X holy damage and taunting it for 3 seconds.
Same max range and warrior, but no minimum range
Thoughts?
Also usable in combat... maybe 15 seconds cooldown.

What about a skill similar to a cow boy which brings the target close to....
nevermind.
