If you haven't started the background downloader you can start now, and if you already have it mostly downloaded you can finish it. Just in case you are awake and bored.

It can already be downloaded and installed. I'd say do it now while it's all on maintenance. Tonight's gonna be hell.

Looks like it's less than 20Mb for those who downloaded all the pre-patch stuff. Should be able to get on as soon as the servers are back.

Small question - will I be able to just cut and paste my addons (Bartender4, mainly) from the PTR folder into my live files and have them work correctly with no fuss? I only set them up yesterday, so they were working on the most recent build.

And in the time it's taken me to make this post, the download's finished. Nice.

My school's firewall refuses to let the blizzard downloader work. Anyone have a mirror? Fileshack's isnt up yet.

The PTR client is almost identical to the live client, so I you should be able to copy the contents of your interface and WTF folders from the PTR without any problems.

By the way, I envy you guys... wanna play 3.0.2 today, too.

.. Yep, glad I bothered to use the background download thingy for once, and not as way to get out of raiding with a fail guild back in the day.

Mine started at 1.18Gb. There was a smaller patch after that installed, about 300Mb, but it started ~10Mb below the total, too. Feel sorry for those who didn't preload...

I have never used the background downloading thingy. My roomate is at home right now and I would like to have him start the downloading now for my 4 rigs.

Can you tell me how I can tell him how to get this rolling? Thanks.

Yeah i multibox quite a bit. But also one is my wife's.
