I had to do that one twice. I figured it was because on the first kill some asshole kited the boss away from the raid and all the way out of its area.

New frustrations!

1) My Battle.net client stopped working for no reason, and refused to launch until I reinstalled.

2) My board gaming group is on today (in the next city over), but the metro lines are down and I just wasted nearly two hours trying to catch the replacement bus then giving up and walking home.

As someone who is being forced to dps as a different class to continue raiding, I feel your pain.

i never been a good dps, heck hadn't dps'ed since BC... i think the only reason they tolerate me with my bad dps is because the top dps are bribing me to use might blessing of might on them

7/7N and 7/7H EN, 2/3N ToV... as DPS

I'm starting to be decent-ish? (200K+ dps on bosses) -- I think one of the reasons they like me as a dps is because the two highest dps get my Blessing of Might... and I'm not even the worst DPS in the raid.

I still do all the other content as Tank, but honestly starting to enjoy being DPS...

My issue in the past has been being stuck as dps, because I was too good at the right parts of it...

And yes, it sucks.. (when I decided to stop because I couldnt' switch to tank and/or healer, I was asked to tank the next raid tier 'until they found a stable tank'.. they never did :P

My guild knows that if I'm put before the choice of "dps on your paladin or leave " I will simply stop playing :)

Spent the last couple months gearing up a new bear tank for my raid team. He left this week to join his brother's team, after lame excuses about work.

Was having loads of fun playing new Hearthstone decks, getting a decent win rate on a Jade Shaman I threw together. Then I started facing back to back Pirate Warriors for about an hour, and dropped a lot of ranks. So I thought, I'll switch to my dumb taunt Warrior and farm Pirate Warrior for fast ranks.

I haven't seen a single Pirate Warrior in a dozen games.

I've played almost 300 games of Hearthstone so far since Friday, and I can't even get to rank 12 and stay there.

Probably you being mindful and doing what you should, and about half the raid being more focused omn meters (because meters matter!)

I had the same experience a long while, even when not doing any active officer stuff during raid. Talked to the other officers, turns out I was doing mechanics right and being safe, taking less healing etc.

Raids cancelled for the foreseeable future. They'd already cancelled 1 of our 2 nights/week last week because of poor signups. We've been taking half (or more) pugs pretty much every raid this expac, and last week (on the other raid night) we had half the group leave after one wipe.

I've been thinking again about whether I should be playing WoW still lately, and mostly it's because I do enjoy the game right now, but this might tip me over into quitting again.

Got a new graphics card in my computer about six months ago, and I'm having a recurring issue with the fan running constantly and loudly no matter what I'm doing. It's annoying as hell. Started suddenly a few months back and kept going constantly until I accidentally got my finger in the fan while trying to work out what was up; after that it went back to normal. It happened again about a month ago, same issue and I (probably stupidly) solved it the same way, by briefly touching the fan. Now it's doing it again, and I don't want to keep doing something that's potentially damaging to stop it.

I've been doing the usual google searching for solutions, but so far all I've found is one person a year ago who had the exact same problem and never got an answer about it. The noise is driving me nuts.

(The monitoring program that came with the GPU says it's running at normal temperature and fan at 30%.)

How many people is 2016 going to claim from us? Carrie Fisher dies and just a day later her mother dies as well.

Fuck, the hangman's really been out to get people this year.

Thanks guys. We had the funeral yesterday. The family is taking it as well as can be expected. I'm just glad I was able to make it home.
