You're too unattractive to find women? Well, first of all that's complete bullshit. But if you're unhappy with your weight/looks, exercise more, use resources to learn how to make your unattractive qualities more attractive.

Pretty much this, straight down the line.

If you want to find a pretty girlfriend, make yourself pretty too. Trust me, the bizarre notion that only the complete hairy gorilla man-slobs get the supermodels is wrong and, well, bizarre. If you expect us to stay pretty for you, then we expect the same from you. Get a haircut - professionally, not from the weed-whacker in the shed. Shave your face - dump that No-Shave November shit, it's just unattractive. If you're unhappy with your weight, do something to lose it (or gain it, as the case may be). If you're sick of seeing the inside of your residence, get the hell out.

Women, as a whole, don't mind nurturing their boyfriends. They do, however, resent playing nagging mommy to a grown man.

And finally, you need to figure out why you're whining and crying about a useless bag of estrogen with perky nipples, and do something about it. Self-esteem of -1000 is a guarantee of no girlfriend, pretty or not. We don't generally like guys with no spine and no balls.

and that is why i love you Ami..

SHE IS A BITCH WHO IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.

Everything you've told us about this woman leads me to believe she is a complete asshole, self-centered and full of shit. And this is what I've gathered, from hearing about her FROM THE MAN WHO'S IN LOVE WITH HER. With that biased view, I can't imagine how she must really be. Life is SO MUCH MORE than having a "pretty girlfriend" And No offense man, but it almost infuriates me that people think that way.

You really need to take charge of your life and make the changes you want to yourself. Sitting here crying about where you were born, how much money you have, how "pretty" you think you are does absolutely nothing to change your situation. The only thing that changes your situation is yourself.

FORGET About her, forget about playing WoW with her, go make yourself happy.

Seriously. I can guarantee that in a few years, or less, you'll look back at this and be really embarrassed that you wasted so much energy pining after a total harpy.

On a lighter and completely tangential note:
Firstly It was Movember first, sounds much better than this recent upstart of No-Shave November.
Secondly - my pretty wife likes my beard :) , in fact she didn't like me doing Movember this year precisely because I was shaving more. BUT - and I'm guessing this is Amirya's point anyway, having a beard or a moustache or any other hairstyle is not the same as not grooming.

Yeah what's wrong with having a beard! :/

Just to throw my two cents in...

I hate the way I look with a molestache... but the guy I'm currently seeing (not sure what our official status is, but the sex is nice) likes it. It's the only reason I have it.

And, on a completely unrelated note, I just saw Lone Survivor.

Fantastic film, definitely worth the watch.

Almost up there with Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down when it comes to war movies.

Aubade hit it head on, for me.

I don't generally care for facial hair, at all. I don't know if it's a cultural thing or what, not a big deal. However, there is a huge world of difference between groomed facial hair, and wondering if the facial carpet is a super secret chia pet.

My roommate pulls off groomed facial hair (mustache and goatee) and it doesn't bother me. It's when he doesn't shave and is growing the rest out that I am compelled to pull out the hot wax and the Nair.

(Also, my younger brother does the No-Shave November, and while I think he's generally attractive, whenever I see him at Thanksgiving, I just want to use the hot wax and Nair on him too.)

A well kept beard is a good thing. If you can pull it off, that is - patchy facial hair is just nasty, and blondes shouldn't grow a beard unless they can get the full long beard going (think Vikings). I think it's more that you put in the effort to groom yourself that's attractive than the actual style of grooming, whether it's full beard, goatee+mustache, or even one of the crazier styles of beard out there.

A lot of attraction isn't physical so much as it is just seeing the outward expression of a person's personality. It allows people to make at-a-glance assumptions about someone, like "fat because lazy" or "bearded because doesn't give a shit" - which, more often than not are pretty much spot-on accurate. In general, a scruffy appearance will turn someone off because it shows a low self esteem and poor body image.

And damn, Ami, you'd hate me. I can grow a "10 day beard" in about 2 days and my 5 o' clock shadow is stubbly enough to strike a match on. I keep a full beard, but I trim it down to 1/8th of an inch and clean shaven above my adam's apple and on my cheekbones. It drives my bosses nuts, but I work such long shifts they've all seen what happens about mid-way through (it's not pretty), so they've stopped writing me up over it.

In other news, any advice on how to stop chewing fingernails? I've tried hot sauce and other condiments, and getting fake nails (they just fall off because there isn't enough of the natural nail for them to adhere to). I'm thinking of trying acrylic nails, cause those things will break your teeth if you try to chew them, but I don't have the time or spare money to keep getting them filled every week or two. For reference, here's what my most-gnawed finger looks like right now (poor quality because iPhone sucks at taking closeup shots):

I actually don't line my beard around the neck. My main reason is that I have a tendency towards hairbumps which can be super painful/annoying as well as looking terrible. And then it itches like crazy as it grows back in.

Though I have actually been thinking about putting in effort and trying out the clean shaven thing for a while. See how it works.
