If you're unfamiliar with IRC, it's for chat!! On the internet! Download a client by clicking the links below:

PC: mIRC
Mac: Colloquy

Once you've downloaded a client, log onto irc.quakenet.org and /join #Maintankadin. That's it! If you play around with the settings, you'll be able to set it up to automatically join the channel when you log onto the server. Have fun!!

"mIRC can be downloaded freely and evaluated for up to 30 days. If after evaluating mIRC you find that you like it and wish to continue using it, you will need to register your copy."

I use ChatZilla, which comes in a FireFox plugin form. It has the benefit of being completely free.

You do not actually NEED to register it.
It just gives an annoying pop-up message when you run it.

Not even annoying ... it just makes you wait an extra 30 seconds before logging in. lol

I should try chatzilla though. Sounds nifty.

Trillian has a nice IRC feature along with AIM/MSN/Yahoo etc.

trillian is awesome. it's my favorite chat program, however i'll never use anything but mirc for irc chat. it's just too good.

pidgin is the "other" trillian, btw, for linux and maybe mac too?

ArrrrrGH! mibbit is blocked too

I just found out they are closing my office effective June. Our manager is calling us in one by one now to tell us the news and if I still have a job at the end of today.
