When it rains, it pours...
So we recently had 2 days of straight rain. I live near a major river, so I got a pretty good seat to see some good ol flooding. Luckily I live on top of a mountain, so I'm not affected, but there are plenty of people that are.
They are saying that the waters are going to crest at around ~40 feet in some places!
Here's some pictures from my apartment window...

You can see how high the water is... probably around 6-8 feet from ground level, so maybe between 15-20 feet above the actual level of the river.
I was leaving for work this morning, and found road blocks directly to the right of my complex... 6 feet past the road blocks, there was no more road... just water. Kinda... no... REALLY weird feeling.

I'm just coming to the end of the wet season where I am. I think we flooded three or four times this year.
It's always fun to wake up to find your house on it's own little island. "Oh, no uni today I assume?"
