Pally weapons
anyone ever wish you could upgrade your Crystal forge sword?
god i miss that weapon, caster maces are all well and fine but that sword was fantasticly awesome and worked with almost all gear, it was beauty in the simplicity of it's design and the stats were kickass,
and yet we keep using caster maces after that, don't get me wrong, i like the amani punisher and hammer of judgement but i wanna see a classic longsword at my side again.
Btw, it's 7 am here and i haven't slept, i'm bored lol and these are things i think about while the brain is zoned into self-defense-from-sleep-deprivation-mode
Also, what pally weapon would you want yourself?

Sod the lore...
Maces: Hold Thin end, smack the enemy with the big end.
Swords: Hold the hilt end, usually. Slash, Poke, Slice, Stab, Gore, Rend, Burn.. ok maybe not burn, Jab, Use the Cross-Piece to Gouge, Twist, Maim, Cleave, Decapitate and Dismember, Crush the Skull with the Pommel and generally carve up your enemy.
Ok, so "Smite the unholy ones" has more of a Mace feel too it, and my description sounds more Rogue-like, but swords are more mulitpurpose, like a paladin

When I think of a Paladin, I think of a HUGE 2 handed mace.
But we're talking about prot pallies here ... And I dunno ... I've always liked the sword. Fang of the Leviathan, Stormcaller, Bloodmaw Magus Blade ... They all just look nice.
No pink lollipop for me, kthxbai

Looks like a clean, simple, holy blade-o-smiting. Much better than the other outlandish and over the top looking swords out there.
You don't want something like this?
I do.

I'm all for swords, but I prefer swords that actually look realistic. Crystalforged, Warblade of Caer Darrow, Protector's Blade .... those are what a sword should look like.
Sorry Guill, that sword pic you posted just does nothing for me.

That's cool man. Everyone has their opinion. At least I didn't link the Tempest...
edit: Usually, I'm good at linking images. Today, not so much.
