Also, and I just noticed this last week because I haven't watched House in forever, it's the House theme!

I don't actually like the video... it put the song in a different perspective for me after listening to it w/o any video for months. Still the most fantastic song in the world.
<3 Cursive!!!
That's the best song on that album although "Art is Hard" is also damn good. last time I saw them live they played both. They also played some stuff from "Such Blinding Stars For Starving Eyes" and "The Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song" which always makes my happy.
What do you think of their newest album??

Oddly enough this got posted on our guild forum a while back. Some of our officers live near each other and had a LAN party. Some awesome blackmail material was captured of one of our tanks. And yes, he is wearing a guild tabard.

Honestly, I haven't given it a full listen through. No other reason than I've listened to the snippets on iTunes and talked to some friends and they aren't thrilled with it.
I became a Cursive fan on Domestica. In my opinion it is the best album ever made. I know it takes a certain mood to listen to that album since the whole thing is about breaking up with a loved one and the strife involved. But it's just so good I have to play it in full rotation a couple times a week. In fact there isn't a song on that album I don't thoroughly enjoy.
I went from that to Burst and Bloom, and again was sucked into those songs. The only song I could do without is "Sink to the Beat." "Fairytales Tell Tales," my favorite track on the whole thing and it's because of the theme of the song and the way it's presented lyrically. And the thing about this one and Domestica is that they feel "gritty." As things seems to lean to the more polished and dare I say "poppier" with Cursive, I find myself turned off.
Then we get to the Ugly Organ... besides the obvious masterpiece "The Recluse" I find a bunch of songs I think are decent or ok and a bunch I could care less for. Harold Weathervein, Sierra, Art is Hard, Some Red-Head Sleight of Hand, and Bloody Murderer are all songs I'd consider decent.
If you have any songs you'd recommend by Cursive or anyone, let me know. I've bought a lot of shit I didn't like on iTunes but that's the only way to find the real gems.
Cursive reminds me of Interpol and Arcade Fire. Where I really enjoy their early works and as they make new albums I start to get more and more uninterested. This is especially true with Interpol.
Turn on the Bright Lights... masterpiece
Antics... pretty good
Our Love to Admire... shit
Disclaimer: This is all my opinion and not here to dissuade anyone from listening to anything I dislike

yeah, i think i'm another one in the 'muse' camp. muse is some of the best music, imo, and definitely good wow music. i'm at work currently (where ringing phones are the only music... that and the ringing in my ears.), but now i have that band in my head. 'plug in baby', actually. ;-(
deathcab for cutie is awesome, too, but has a sad feeling to it. all of it. ('what sarah said'?)
the postal service is a nice alternative to that, however.
imo.

Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are bastards'.
