What was he doing there? Did he clap his hands behind the guy's head to try to distract him?

Nah, that's just the camera angle. He's a Mets fan upset that his team is giving away outs towards the end of the game (which they were losing and ultimately did lose).

Life patch notes: Greatly decreased delay between action and karmic payback.

Oh, that is EVIL.
- I'm not Jesus, but I can turn water into Kool-Aid.
- A Sergeant in motion outranks an officer who doesn't know what the hell is going on.
- A demolitions specialist at a flat run outranks everybody.

Could imagine a kid taking a big bite, then crying, then rubbing his eyes.

I'm guessing he's just trying to get the player to give him the ball. You'll frequently see fans screaming at players fielding a ball near the stands down the baselines. Players will usually turn around and give someone the ball if it's foul (and not caught in the air), if it is the last out of an inning, or some other situation that results in a dead ball. That said, that was not a dead ball situation, and if the player tossed that ball into the stands, any runners on base would get to move up.

Photo's Backstory: A few months ago, I was reading about homeschooling, because I do things like randomly reading about homeschooling. I read an article that mentioned a family using science textbooks produced by Bob Jones University. (If you're not familiar, that's a large, for-profit, evangelical Christian university in South Carolina.) I had to see what one of those textbooks was like. I bought one for a few bucks on Amazon and a few slow shipping weeks later, I had my answer.

I purchased a copy of Science 4 for Christian Schools, an evangelical-written and -approved science textbook published in 1990. According to the stamp on the inside cover, my copy was previously owned by The Country Church & Country Christian School in Molella, Oregon. So, thanks guys!

I weep for this country.

While I was still in school, I went 1 year to an ACE school (ACE is an acronym for "Advanced Christian Education", from looking around I see its now changed to "accellerated").
The system itself is actually quite advanced and good, you establish an individual level and you leatrn through completion of "paces" in different subjects. Most of these had been imported straight and just translated to danish.
The subject matter was predictable, but not an actual issue (I mean, you have to have some sort of continuing story or relevance when reading through a pace.

Most subjects were not very different from "normal" school, and I quite enjoye dthe science books, that is, untill I came to geology; in 3 or 4 subsequent paces, I hardly did anything, as I skimmmed through and skipped all the parts that boils down to "God did it" - attempting to say the earth was 5 thousand years old, that sedimentary rock was caused by the great flood etc etc etc.

Luckily the school system in DK is so secularized that it was not an issue when I raised objections, as to not wanting to waste my time, so I was allowed to skip ahead till I hit something that wasn't so religious; I was also the first person in this school (it was it's first year) that hit these subjects - whether they let others go through them, I don't know, but I like to imagine they were aware enough, so as to weed out those paces for future use.
