If that helps, there were a few down there in Brussels in the flesh, my wife included ;-)

It's... enjoyable?

*soapbox*

We were founding member of the Beglium Cosplay Team, the first cosplay contest organizer in Belgium. We've had a history of cosplay togheter that stretches back to july 2000, and had us offer a first part for the avant-première of the Full Metal Alchemist first movie.

So... yeah, she did a Vocaloid last week ;-)

The only cosplay I've done is Pyramid Head. I could prolly cosplay Heavy Weapons if I would actually put any effort into making props again -- or going to cons again for that matter.

Some of my friends still cosplay.

My ex cosplayed as a redhead Episode 2 Padme. That was kinda hot. I could never convince her to try ren fair garb, not even a dirndl or other medieval garments -- prolly cuz even though she was irish, she couldn't dance for shit (not that I can either) =P

More or less stopped as well - I enjoyed the down-and-dirty job of organisation too much to focus on the cosplay itself anyway - There is little quite as glorious as seeing a hundred faces turn your way when you slam the doors to this:

And as you scream: "SPARTAAAAAAAAAAANS!", everyone gets hyped up for the final results with "Ahoo!" trough the ranks. Not Jay Leno-level, but DAMN - it stayed as a "trademark" of Belgian cosplayers ever since XD

Saw a sign in Kobe - Japan once that was translated as follows:
Carrying in into a pet's gondola refuses a cat, a dog, etc.

Took a picture of it, but it's analog...haven't converted them to digital yet...
