from Jesus Christ: In the name of the Gun

It has time-traveling Jesus, Hitler, Earnest Hemingway, paratrooping monkeys, and Gary Busey. I don't know whether to call it apalling or awesome.

It does put stuff into perspective for sure. Food for thought is all I am saying.

A good video, but I feel a lot of what he said was stuff I already knew, just from common sense.

So I picked up a new handgun (Beretta m-92f):
Image

And went out to break her in. I put 100 rounds downrange at 50 feet, and after not having shot in many years (and with a broken finger, to boot!), here was my shot grouping today:
Image

You can't really see it, but I missed the black once cause I sneezed. It's on the bottom in the writing. Out of 100 shots, I missed the center diamond 23 times, and at 50 feet the front sight almost completely covered the area where the other 77 shots landed. I haven't shot a pistol in almost a decade - I have to say, I'm quite pleased with myself.

9 mil?

I use a H&K P2000 .40 cal/155 grain hollow point rounds. We've been authorized to use 180 grain rounds, but they haven't started issuing them yet.

Unless, of course, the coke has this on the label.

Yeah, that's a Beretta m-92f. Really don't need much more than that, a 9mil is plenty for keeping around the house to fend off Bad Guys™.

Next week though, I'm gonna go pick up a Sig Sauer p238. I saw it in the store and went d'awwww, it's so CUTE. Smallest .380 EVER. Seriously:
Image

That's tiny. I imagine it'll kick like a mule, but probably nowhere near as bad as this:
Image

Although, the .50 cal long barrel revolver is probably one of those guns that you'll never have to shoot. Just pulling it from a holster (or pants leg like Jack Nicholson's Joker in the original Batman movie) would be enough to make the hardest of hardass bastards run in fear.

But, yeah. I was just rather impressed with a 6 inch grouping at 50 feet with a handgun after so many years of not shooting at all.

Well then, while on the subject:
Image
Why can't a Warrior Thunderclap while silenced?

You're actually clapping your thighs together with a force so powerful that you generate a sonic boom and the resulting electrostatic energy. Unfortunately, when you're silenced, you can't generate the audible force from your thunder thighs.
