Well, there are two walls between the router and xbox, and three between the router and desk or bed. Only one wall between the router and the garden.

The xbox is probably near a source of interference such as a TV and/or stereo, so its reception will be crap anyway.

My xbox is on a regular LAN cable for that reason. I just got a new box from my ISP, so now I have 3 wireless routers in the house. Need to distribute them a bit better.
