Do not be alarmed. The pie fans are simply a vocal minority, and one that has likely created countless "alt" accounts to sway the voting. All of life's best events have cake: weddings, birthdays, and your last day at the office. The facts speak for themselves really.

Marie-Antoinette (1755-93), who was the Queen consort of Louis XVI (King of France for those Americans that have heard of Europe), once said "Let them eat Cake" in response to "Our peasants are starving and about to revolt".

Well, that did not go down too well with the peasants of the time and a bit of guillotine action went down, which was terminal for her and a large percentage of the French aristocracy...

So, even back then cake was vilified.

Tuesday was my birthday.
My cake literally melted and I had to eat it with a spoon from a bowl.
Im mad at the cake now.
The cake betrayed me to soup.
Since the pie did not betray me, I voted for the pie.

I feel there should have been an option for crumble included, as there wasn't, under protest, I voted pie.

I would have voted for crumble though given the choice.

Hmmmmm.

On my honeymoon last year we went on a cruise, every night the self service restaurent had a different crumble, it was lovely. I did however draw the line at pineapple crumble. That is just wrong, wierdoes!

I see the pie, but I raise a crumble!
