Wikipedia says it's more like pie than cake.

I dunno. Some pie partisans might've edited that entry a bit. It does have cake in its name, after all.

we must initiate a wikipedia editing war.

Their mods are wicked quick. Not even Dorvan could touch them.

I typed up an entry for Barksharks, with a nice picture and everything, and it was GONE in 60 seconds (starring Nicolas Cage <3) along with a warning email not to do that sort of thing again or my account would be SUSPENDED.

What category does cheesecake fall under?

I would contend that cheesecake is a separate thing all together... neither pie nor cake... nor cheese I suppose.

...but it is good. :P

My favorite cheesecake has sour cream on top, and a thick raspberry sauce on top of that. If I were in a room with fifteen of those, I'm pretty sure I'd eat myself to death.

Pie, and specifically Key Lime Pie, has my vote, and my heart.

Thing is, I love the lemon part and don't especially like meringue - so that picture isn't doing it for me. Don't tease me with lemon and then give me egg white and air.

I was torn on the issues surrounding the vagaries of cheesecake but then I remembered that banana cream pie >>>> any cake known to man.

ATEN: Cake Fans

Do not be alarmed. The pie fans are simply a vocal minority, and one that has likely created countless "alt" accounts to sway the voting. All of life's best events have cake: weddings, birthdays, and your last day at the office. The facts speak for themselves really.

Marie-Antoinette (1755-93), who was the Queen consort of Louis XVI (King of France for those Americans that have heard of Europe), once said "Let them eat Cake" in response to "Our peasants are starving and about to revolt".

Well, that did not go down too well with the peasants of the time and a bit of guillotine action went down, which was terminal for her and a large percentage of the French aristocracy...

So, even back then cake was vilified.

Pie FTW!!

Why am I waiting for Invis to come up with a .gif where a pie shivs a cake and leaves it to die?

Also Cake > Pie, unless it's pecan pie, then they're equal.

THE CAKE IS A LIE
VOTE FOR THE PIE

Tuesday was my birthday.
My cake literally melted and I had to eat it with a spoon from a bowl.
Im mad at the cake now.
The cake betrayed me to soup.
Since the pie did not betray me, I voted for the pie.

Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!
Oh, no
No, no
Oh no!!

I feel there should have been an option for crumble included, as there wasn't, under protest, I voted pie.

I would have voted for crumble though given the choice.
