Listening to the few samples of it that I've encountered, it seems to fluxuate between "that sounds totally sweet" and "oh god my ears are bleeding make it stop", where the latter portion seems to be the genre-defining property of them.

You have to find some good dubstep songs to really enjoy them. 90% of them are crap.

there's quite a few good remixers or original artists, you just gotta look =]

Yeah, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with dubstep, some is AMAZING, and everything else sounds like I'm logging into a dial-up connection.

I like most of Bassnectar's stuff.

I saw Iced Earth play a little while ago in San Diego. Not too bad, but I liked Symphony X better, it was kind of a double headliner show.
