Yeah not an either or, just in general I guess. IDK, I haven't slept yet so I'm not completely coherent. But I have a....Date? More of a "Oh man, I'm so tired, I wish I had coffee" And I'm going to suprise her at work with coffee thing.

I would definately have to side with DEAF... I could not imagine my life without sight... I can imagine a life without sound because I have family that was deaf, I learned basic ASL and daily living is not that terribly different.

Life without being able to wake up in the morning - get annoyed by just how bright the sun outside is, close the blinds, sit down and kick some ass in a BG would not be nearly as fun...

also... I agree not being able to see women would be a complete FML.

In all seriousness though, it's a rather hard question. I LOVE music, both playing and listening to, and losing that would be a pretty huge blow to me. However, on the flip side, like others said, we do live in a very visual-based society, and it would be much more difficult to adjust to a life of blindness to... deafness( if that's even a word)


In the end I'd probably say I'd rather be deaf, but either way would suck.

i think i would have to say deaf, even though i have a huge love of music i think id miss the ease of working at a computer (since thats what im going to school for) and being able to drive, watch movies, and look at my girlfriend

Gonna go with blind, partly to be contrary, but there is also a truth that being blind is just way sexier than being deaf, and I can always get new hobbies. The only *real* downshot (for me) to being blind as opposed to deaf is that your work oppurtunities would be more restricted.

Also, consider this: While it IS nice to look at the attributes of the opposite sex, its even nicer to touch them, and being blind gives you a ready made excuse to do so (by "accident", if you prefer-"May I touch your face? Oops!"). Finally, for those saying "but what if he/she's ugly/an amputee/a bad dresser?", if you're blind, you really won't care all that much about any physical characteristic you can't feel, and of those that you can, your mileage varies according to the individual.
