Apparently they are making a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer "reboot" movie. I am withholding judgement until they release any details about who will be involved. However, I am not very optimistic about how this will turn out.

They should totally use the Fray series from the Buffyverse for the story, far preferred that to the Sunnydale stuff (not to say that wasn't entertaining).
Be interested to see who they do eventually get for it all though.

Oh my god NO.
I loved the movie in all its campy glory. And I adored the series on an utterly obsessive level. (Massive fan web site and everything.)
It doesn't need a goddamn reboot. It was fantastic as it was. (And fuck sake, this is going to bring back the whole Angel versus Spike debate. Go DIAF!)

One of the scariest things about this reboot is that they keep saying it's a response to Twilight-mania. We'll end up with sparkly vampires that are (more) emo and a "heroine" with no self esteem. Goody.
