Who will be at Blizzcon?

Blizzcon is great, you should definitely try to go (going with friends is a lot more fun than going alone too).Pala wrote:It's late and this may sound crazy but I would love to see a paladin in full Tier 10 armor. There was one in Tier 10 but she had no helmet. If it was possible to get a helmet that looked good then the icing on the cake would be for the visor to drop down on queue. It would make a great action pose, one where you lift your weapon and hold out your shield like the Shield of the Righteous animation.
I have zero skills in costume making but these contests have made me interested. I think you could do the tier 10 shoulders as recesses with a small light and those glowing strips of material that wave like a flame. Anyway, the outfits were great and thank you for the extra pictures of the show. I want to start saving for next year now.
I've only been doing costume stuff for about a year now. The Val'kyrs was my first costume I made by myself (I can't sew, so my previous costumes were just commissioned) and doing things yourself makes it a lot cheaper than paying someone else to do it (purchasing something like those Val'kyr wings would have cost over $400 a pair, mine cost me about $150 a pair to make).
I just made an account on cosplay.com, then made a well formulated post complete with reference pictures about the costume I wanted to make and that I had no clue where to start, and people started pointing me at tutorials. So you just have to research materials, practice with them, and then make things. I enjoy it, it doesn't take too long to learn

Did anyone see/meet Minnerva?

Amazing costume and pictures as usual Mew
I really need to learn how to make costumes, my attempts at fancy dress are normally rather poor.

I have a confession... I met someone from MTadin at the realm meetup, cool guy and we chatted for a while! But.... I've totally forgotten his name >.<.
Sorry mystery tankadin!

I wore last year's black shirt on the first day but it was probably hidden under my jacket because I was freezing. I also had ridiculously catchy nameplate hat, as did all of my guild.
I didn't see anyone else with a MT shirt (other than those at the panel), but a guildy said he almost got inadvertently crushed by Van's bodyguard.

I had to protect myself.

Awesome, loved the nameplates last year and was really pleased to see them make a return this year, they're a brilliant ideaI also had ridiculously catchy nameplate hat, as did all of my guild.

I remember meeting you, but I was busy drinking, trying to get service in the Hilton, and chatting with porn stars.

I saw two people with MT Hoodies, both my brother, aergis, and ackini wore their maintankadin shirts, then I saw about 5 random dudes with the shirts on. I wore a soft white and gray stripped sweater
Since I lost 30 pounds since I wore my last blizzcon MT shirt, not even the men's smalls fit me anymore.

Finally home with internet that works right! D: The hotel internet was painful...
If anyone runs in to pictures of my Val'kyr costume(s) if you could post them in here or PM them to me that would be cool. I am going to just make an entire photobucket album with all of them for myself to keep. I've been running in to them all over the place but wasn't able to keep track of the sites due to bad internet (going to have to re-search).
And thanks for all the compliments!
I was really glad how much everyone loved the costume. I already have plans to start on next year's D:

Get ahold of the Blizzcon folks at Blizzard and ask them to forward them to you, and post on the Blizzcon forum about it?
That should net you most of them, I'd think.

Yeah, I will. I think that's what I did very painfully over a period of like 4 hours (what should have taken 30 minutes) on crappy hotel internet. I'm going to have to re-track down most of them but someone could always run in to ones I haven't found yet.
One thing I am wondering about is that they did take professional quality photos of everyone backstage, I wonder if we will ever see those.
