SMP, SSP, or creative mode?
If you're just doing singleplayer, you could probably find a map editor or load a custom map with a huge flat space.
If you're not able to directly edit the map, then yeah, you just have to use your hands.

I'm on SSP, so I might as well use a custom flat map.

(gnomes as the pins, not the patrons)

Brekkie:Tanks are like shitty DPS. And healers are like REALLY distracted DPS
Amirya:Why yes, your penis is longer than his because you hit 30k dps in the first 10 seconds. But guess what? That raid boss has a dick bigger than your ego.
Flex:I don't make mistakes. I execute carefully planned strategic group wipes.
Levie:(in /g) It's weird, I have a collar and I dont know where I got it from, Worgen are kinky!
Levie:Drunk Lev goes and does what he pleases just to annoy sober Lev.

Been playing with the piston mod (It's awesome BTW can't wait for it to be added into the game) Having a flat area is easier in my opinion to plan projects and start constuction.

So you can sort the layers properly, of course.

Re: MINECRAFT
Anyone else envisioning/planning complicated piston death traps that have whatever is unfortunate enough to trigger them flying to a creative if not comical death?
Think pinball machine of doom.

Re: MINECRAFT
being the purist that I am, I cannot wait for the pistons to be implemented so I can finally use them.
I pretty much won't use any mods until a solid API is created for them and they're a bit more stable.
