Agreed. It's really my only complaint about the game, and that's saying a lot coming from someone who couldn't see past Origins' flaws and poor design. They streamlined more or less everything I found clunky and unfun in Origins. Although I would love a more detailed character sheet for stats from armor. I have no idea what "2 Mana/Stamina regeneration" actually means. Is it per hit for rogues/kill for warriors/second for mages? Some of the stats still have that Mass Effect 1 feel. Physics threshold? Fucking win!
It's hard to put my finger on the reason, but I find myself much more interested in the characters this time around. Well, aside from the fact that Merrill is basically Tali. I was happy to see there's some strong character interaction when you're running around (i.e. Varric fucking with everybody).

Question?
on xbox if you download and complete the demo do you get a free ingame thing? I thought I read something like this.

Should do, exactly the same as completing the facebook DA: Legends game should unlock items on both pc and xbox.

As long as you log into your EA account and beat the demo then log in on the full game, the free stuff should show up in your house in Kirkwall. I rocked that greatsword for like... ten hours of gameplay!

Heh, Merrill just got in my character's pants and for some reason she changed armor afterward... that was unexpected.

I don't mind the copy pasta dungeons so much since there is so much more light content now. I love content.

Re: Dragon Age 2
The new combat system is VERY REFRESHING.
During the demo I just pressed attack once and my character sat there and didn't move and I went.. HRRRRM?!....Noo... wait....
*press attack 2 more times* slice / slice... OMFG DRAGON AGE HACK N SLASH CONTROLS!!!! <insert broken button from spamming the same button with random presses of off cooldown stuff...>
I really like a lot of the changes, I can only imagine how at higher levels rogue are probably OP as hell! AoE Stun, fight, Dodge back, rush forward, fight, strike, tele+strike.... omg

I am sorely disappointed if this is accurate. I wanted to take Isabela's clothes off.

From the videos on the previous page, it looks like there will be a serious lack of cartoon cleavage. It's truly devastating.

Re: Dragon Age 2
I've actually got rather mixed feelings about the game, having just beaten it.
Combat changes = awesome. SO awesome.
Inventory changes = Mass Effect-ified. I do NOT like the "streamlining" of the inventory. In Mass Effect, it was a good change - having to micromanage everyone's equipment to the point of 3 armor mods and 2 weapon mods was a pain in the fucking ass. In Origins? Not so much. The system they already had was JUST FINE.
Story/writing = awesome, but that's to be expected - Bioware pretty much sets the industry standard as far as depth and characterization is concerned in RPGs. It feels sort of filler-ish, though.
Graphics = so bad it almost wrecks the game for me. It almost looks like the cheesy FX where they paste a moving mouth onto a static image. The textures for the areas aren't much better, either. Hell, Origins had better graphics!
And a special note for the recycled dungeons. Shit, Blizzard was making random dungeons populated with loot and mobs as far back as fifteen years ago. Why couldn't Bioware do the same?
