Scott Pilgrim vs The World (Spoiler)

What did everyone else think about this movie? It has it's ups and down but overall is a great movie experience. The action was good not too much of that shaky cam BS and the jokes were pretty funny (although the trailers ruin a ton of them). It was weird to see Michael Cera doing karate. The little asian girl and the gay roommate stole the show however.

It was enjoyable. Based on what I hear from friends who have read the comics it sounds like they did a pretty good job of sticking to it. I wasn't crazy about it, as a movie I think Kickass was a lot better, but I think this movie just wasn't my style (for one, I don't like that style of music and that was a big part of the movie). I do like action movies, Michael Cera, and comedy though, so it was fun.
It seems like if you were in to the comics it would be a lot better.


Do you know if the comic makers were working with the movie people to make the ending(the comic wasn't finished before the movie)?

My memories a little fuzzy but. She says that she used to be a bitch and heartbroke all her exes (except for the last one where she chased him). INC SPOILER

She chased the main villain (Number 7). They were bf and gf but he always ignored her so when she left to go to Toronto to make a new life he started noticing and wanted her back. So he formed the League of Evil Exes.

Some of the guys were exes from like the 7th or 8th grade.

I actually got pissed when I saw he had to fight someone else after Gideon cause I figured it'd be an extra 5 minutes+the ending so about 13 min in all but it was a nice twist.

During the previews did anyone else see the trailer for the movie Devil? I heard someone in the crowd say "this looks good" then it said "by M.Night" and there was a collective groan.

I had that same reaction when I saw the Devil trailer yesterday when I went to see The Expendables.

Elevator movie looks lame, I'm so sick of that preview. I'm not all up in that M Night hatred, got to support whatever Hollywood representation we Indians have. I am surprised that big name companies keep backing him and producing his movies though.

I couldn't care less about Jason Statham tbh. Probaly wasn't in the budget but they missed a ton of other action stars namely Samuel L Jackson, Vin Diesel, and Jackie Chan.
