And you're right, I shouldn't be surprised. I've never, ever walked out on a movie before. I got into this one for free and STILL walked out. It wasn't worth my time. It wasn't even worth the lawlfactor.
It was so bad it barely warrants a post here, and the only thing I can really be bothered saying is that if you want to watch a copypasta of shit you've already seen that happens to be inferior in every way, by all means, enjoy. The only things remotely interesting were the graphics, in that it was nice to see digital effects, but even they lacked the raw impact that the cartoon had.
I mean, really, I usually take critics' reviews with a grain of salt, because I can find something enjoyable in just about every movie that's ever been given horrible reviews. Go read the reviews and take solace in the fact that they are completely accurate.
I'm going to go stab my eyes with a rusty wooden spork as punishment for my naivety, and then I'm going to go watch the entire cartoon series to redeem myself.

Yeah I heard it didn't capture the comedic aspects of the series. The worst part is that there are no Kiyoshi Warriors they were a big part of the story because they taught Sokka how to be a warrior.

Great. I'm going to go see this movie with my ex-girlfriend tonight. I already expected to not enjoy myself, but now it sounds as if it's a guarantee.

Sigh I knew this would happen. I had hoped against hope that it wouldn't be the case but I expected nothing less. The cartoon was so amazingly awesome, I really wanted that to translate into a live action film but when looking at the past for other movies trying the same, very few succeed.
I'm going to watch the excellence that is Sozin's Comet and pretend this movie never happened. I got to wait til Monday to see it. I know its bad but I'll have to see for myself. Sigh..

It's an M Night Shyamalan film. You were surprised at the suckitude?

Sometimes the Night has some good films, but his forte is in suspense kinda things, not action and definitely not comedy. Ive heard from some the same review as here, not worth the time, others said its worth a cheap matinee price. I'll probably just end up going with a friend (provided they pay) or waiting till i can find it free.

So, you're saying its what I call a "redbox movie". Ie, I'll watch it for $1.
The only movie I can think of that I actually stopped watching cause it was so bad was the last alien vs predator.
But as someone who hasn't seen the series, is the film still really bad?

The last AvP was a fun movie.
I had trouble watching Paranormal Activity all the way through.
I'm going to see this on Saturday or Sunday D: I know now that it definitely won't be good, but I hope it's not worst movie ever caliber.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender (Movie)
I hadn't seen the cartoon series. I've only ever seen one episode, and that was last night to sorta familiarize myself with the basic concepts.
The movie was really that bad. I didn't walk out, but at points the script was so utterly terrible it got laughs out of the audience, for the wrong reasons.
Even the 3D was stupid. There were more scenes utilizing 3d in the PREVIEWS than in the actual movie. I took off my glasses 20 minutes in and didn't even notice a difference. They must have decided to call it 3D as an afterthought just as a way of charging an extra couple bucks.

Haven't seen more than 2 or 3 episodes of the TV show, and that was a while ago. The show seemed pretty good.
One question about the move, Better or worse than eragon?
(sorry, need to quantify the suck factor here)

The world hasn't collapsed into a singularity of suck, so it must be better than Eragon. How much better, though, is the question.

It's somewhere on my list of 'things that I should watch' I'll probably get around to it eventually.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender (Movie)
the animated series is quite possibly one of the best of its kind. It is incredibly deep, with a very rich story, and a great build up that leaves you in suspense at all the right times.
Sure, there are some 'meh' or 'ok' episodes, but those are made up for by all the amazing story points, great adventures, and fantastic episodes that soon follow them up.
I was afraid that M. Night would ruin it. I'm still going to see it, but I think that I will take my kids with me the first time, and not worry about trying to enjoy it on my own first. It is clear that I will not.
