The Haiku Dungeon

Postby Snake-Aes » Sat May 08, 2010 5:19 am

From near the shadows
slinks this amateur ninja.
A half-assassin.

A slacker in black,
he dropped out of ninja school.
He's deadly... sort of.

Before you're ready
the fiend starts beating on you.
So much for sneaking.

He flails wildly 'round
gentle breezes waft by you
man, this guy sure sucks.

When couplets go bad
there's always someone to blame:
Knob Goblin poseur

This Knob Goblin teen
thinks he's a gangsta poet.
In fact, he's neither.

He recites some verse
it makes you gag a little
but you're still okay.

What is this stuff here?
I was promised a dungeon
Where are all the mobs?

A haiku dungeon
Like, mobs made of words and stuff?
That's a weird idea

This studious monk
went nuts from contemplating
too many koans.

Before he sees you,
you're already attacking.
You're sneaky like that.

You sling an item
like a mighty summer storm
dealing 6 damage.

Your foe hits the floor
like a bag full of wet sand.
It looks like you've won!

"North, I go!" You cry
Shuffling sounds in darkness
You're eaten by grue
- I'm not Jesus, but I can turn water into Kool-Aid.
- A Sergeant in motion outranks an officer who doesn't know what the hell is going on.
- A demolitions specialist at a flat run outranks everybody.

You can't get "Ye Flask"
The obvious exits are

We enter full of pride
A long corridor leads off
Gnolls sighted at end

Charge yells Barathorn
Mighty paladin of light
Oh bugger pit trap

We fall cursing traps
We land at the bottom, Gnolls
start to urinate.

We clamber out and foes
run off laughing we can't catch
them rust defeats us.
