Yeah, that was really cool. Seems they've been having more fun as well. Rick-rollin' subways: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8WiyX21A1c and some other stuff.
I used to play a paladin.

Excellent! A shame about the undisciplined rabble of an audience drowning them out :(

Rick-rollin' subways: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8WiyX21A1c and some other stuff.

Yeah that was pretty awesome. Unfortunately not a single person in the subway train got the joke and all just sat there in stone-faced silence.

I think I like that one better. I love how their body language is still awkward-subway while they are doing it.

Yeah that kind of ruined it for me. Not a single person catching on was kinda like "meh".

Even if people got the joke I don't know what they would have done. If someone did get it they probably would have been internet nerds and also possibly socially awkward. Should they have started dancing, singing along, or yelled out "OHNO I GOT RICK ROLLLL'D"; I think that would have made them (the person reacting) look lame.
There was some applause, but I don't know if that was from a group member or subway people. If it was from subway people (what I hope) then that is great, you should applaud a good show, aside from the meme it was a very popular song. I think it's a good song :(
I guess I think the non-reaction makes it better, that's what big cities and subways are like. You can do whatever you want and no one will say or do anything unless it is directed specifically at them. I think some regular positive reaction to having an awesome singing group perform would have been nice (like rhythmic clapping or more applause at the end) but I don't see how reaction to the meme would have been good and not just annoying.

@Lev- reading comments now, this is bound to be entertaining.

fucking duh, it's New York City. I have to endure random panhandlers singing on trains all the god damn time. I understand they were doing a thing, but remember this sort of thing is 100% commonplace here. They DID get applause at the end, note.

they are pretty awesome performers. the Lady Gaga mix was fantastic.

Wait wait wait. You can sing Bad Romance, loudly, at work, but you can't tell them you like women's feet? I dun get it.
