well the whole reason i even started playing WoW was becuase i opened the cover and saw a dwarf with a hand cannon....

now if only my dwarven fighter could weild guns in D&D!

Old style (pre-D20) Deadlands: Hell on Earth. The first game I ever played, and I loved it, complete with its dice, cards and poker chips, all rolled into one system!

Horrible to try and teach to people, but you were never constrained for a story

Actually, one of the reasons I like Glorantha is the magic of the dwarfs there is technology. It doesn't work for (almost) anyone else but it's hella ugly.

Or you can play Whorebammer. That's got gunz.

Why not? Early pistols had a similar time between shots to that of a crossbow, and not much more penetrating power, though greater range and easier to use and hide.

Earthdawn is a good fantasy setting that does not get it's just due. I loved the hell out of that game and it had a simply fabulous magic item system.

My buddys and I play D&D Sometime, but our DM sucked balls and everyone hated him so we stopped playing since none of us wanted to do it.

And one can always consider it to be "Shadowrun: The Early Years." Some interesting speculation on what the world would look like assuming the Bugs and their masters ever really, really got going like they did in Earthdawn...

Of course, it would probably be like a Barbara Hambly's Darwath novels.
