I was also a huge fan for a long time. I used to watch both WWF and WCW. Got my mom or dad to take me to matches. :) I still have a post card I got from Hulk Hogan (machine printed and signed of course) when I wrote him a get well card after he got hurt - back when Tugboat was coordinating the letter writing campaign. I just gradually lost interest in it. I think going to college is what totally killed it for me. I do remember that for a while I had crushes on Roddy Piper and later Kerry von Erich (so sad).

I used to *love* the Von Erichs. Do you remember the rivalry with Abdullah the Butcher?

I read a interview with Sting who's arguably the most famous wrestler to have never worked for WWE. He said he talked to Vince about joining WWE once (this was in like 2003 i think) but he said he saw what happened to a lot of WCW stars and how they went no where.

Anyone else glad they canceled that abomination known as WWECW

Oh wow, Bret Hart is coming back? Thats pretty cool. I think I'm too far gone to get back into it though. And as I said, I really can't stand Vince McMahon's heel character. All of my favorite people are either gone or wrestling way past their prime. Do you smelllllllllllllll what The Rock.... is cookin?

I really do miss the WWF of yesteryear :( Even the old WCW was all right. Anyone remember when Steve Austin was "Stunning Steve Austin" on WCW? I never really cared one way or the other for Dustin Rhodes but when he went to WWF and became Goldust, I cringed.

Sigh I really got invested in this when I was younger and thinking back to what it was and how much I enjoyed it, it's making me sad that the feeling is gone to never return.

I regained my interest in wrestling (or more appropriately wrasslin') about two years ago, and have been a big fan ever since. I like WWE and TNA, but unfortunately I work until 10pm Monday nights and can only record one show, so I had to go with WWE, mainly because a) I hate to see Sting as a heel and b) I got tired of the same old routine coming from Flair / Styles.
In response to the OT's comment about there being no way Michael's will end his career, I'm not so sure. For one, he's had an ungodly number of injuries, especially to his back, and you can tell just by the way he walks that he's hurting. Also, I don't think they're going to end The Streak so willingly. I'm thinking they're going to come up with a way to appease both performers without killing Michael's career or The Streak.
Finally, for those of you wanting to watch Wrestlemania XXVI but can't afford it or don't have cable / satellite, check your local Buffalo Wild Wings (providing they're a nationwide brand, because I honestly have no idea). I know ours (in Knoxville, TN) is showing the PPV for free, so that's where I'll be spending my March 28th.

I was pretty excited when I found out about it as well. That's a good $60 or $70 saved there. Plus, I'm a big fan of B-Dubs.
