No? I didn't even say anything about tatoos looking cool - I responded to someone randomly telling me that getting tatoos "just because they look cool" is a bad idea, by pointing out he had no reason to think the tatoo I described had less (or more) meaning than the tatoos others have described. Lots of tatooes here are completely abstract with no explanation from the bearers of what they mean to them personally. Him explaining about what a bird on his arm means says nothing about what some lines on my forehead might or might not mean to me.

In celebration of getting my raise today (and more than I expected, at that!), I got some work done on my tattoo. To refresh memories, I'll chronicle it from start to today.

First little beginning (tribal scorpion design):

Finished the wreath fill (AWESOME shading):



Next step is to do the same shading swirled effect on the light blue and shade it down to a darker midnight blue and add stars to the field, then it'll be done. I'm looking at doing that in January after the holiday rush at work.
