I think that's the point of the OP. He was hoping it wasn't.

I'm going to derail the thread and actually offer a serious response.

Perhaps in the social heirarchy the OP's friend is actually the alpha male, and when he came in, the OP had an unconscious, instinctual reaction to the arrival of the alpha, which is what cost him his game. She, being a woman, smelled the instant wussification of the OP and left. She'd probably have slept with the friend too if he had have asked, particularly if his girl was a hottie.
