We brought an alt-group into ZA recently because nothing else was up, and this pull, which is pretty easy for our regular group, was the stopping point. Glad to know it's Holy Shield that's the culprit. (Our regular warrior tank has no problem pulling his bear off me when I do that.)
It was a very undergeared raid so it was not going to happen anyway, but I'm glad to know how I can fix the problem next time.
And yes, avoidance is king on that trash. Eventually you're just getting pounded for like 6k hits if DPS isn't fast enough.

Shadow Priest Mind control FTW...
