Ok so I know it can 1shot a tank so you need both mt's for it but would it be a good idea to have maybe 1-2 melee dps stand in front also? to mitigate some of the dmg

sources I have read say that it doesn't get split any more than between two people so having extra people infront doesn't reduce the damage any more.

So if there are say 3 melee in front of him standing on top of each other 2 out of the 3 will be hit?

Ever had two dualwield melee DPS in front of a boss? Funny things can happen...

IMO, it would be very dangerous for melee DPS to stand in front of him for this fight.

I too have read that the damage can only be split among 2 sources. Assuming this to be true, when we tried him this weekend both of the tanks would get hit for around 9k. A hit like that on a rogue, ret pally, or dps warrior seems like it would one shot them, or at least leave them with little to no health.

I had a warrior tank standing there _not_ autoattacking, just doing sunder/demo/tclap with the rage he got from the cleave, and tank the lynx p2

The Saber Lash is capped to 2 targets, so you "can" have a melee eating the skill, but if he's not a plate/bear he's going to be oneshotted. It's still phisical damage, a rogue would take way more than 8-9k damage.
