Gruuls crushing blows

So i main tanked him tonight because we didn't have any other geared tank.

I was suprised at how often he crushed me.

Each time holy shield went down he would crush me in that brief time before holy shield came back up.

It was so frustrating.

I've successfully tanked up to Mag (including all of ZA) and never noticed this problem before. The odd crushing blow here and there but not nearly every time holy shield expired.

Any suggestions that could stop this.

rape your holy shield key from 1~2 seconds cooldown left.
i hardly get crushed by gruul °_°
even with silence downtimes...

Dabiri's enigma, just might be worth it if your having trouble, last for 15 seconds so its almost good for 2 holy shield cd's, i generally use it for aoe trash to reduce damage input, but on bosses where there's silences ill pop it when the silence hits so it reduces the chance to be crushed to about ~2% (with my avoidance where it is now)

He will crush you if you give him a chance. Button mashing is helpful similar to the maiden fight or any boss with silences. I click the pocket watch or any trinket you might have when hs is coming around.

It's just chance. Last time I did it he crushed me three times out of maybe 30 seconds of holy shield downtime, stupid silences.
