NPCs and taunt
I am a little confused... I saw this thread which was talking about how we can't taunt the NPCs but then it was locked because it was a thread from Nov and someone brought it back to life. It seems as if it was locked because
Now.... I don't see why this information is incorrect because I have not been able to taunt a single mob off an NPC in Hyjal. Should this or should this not be happening??
please try to avoid bringing up threads with old information that is no longer correct, as it has a nasty tendency to spread false rumors.

What do you mean fix my macro? Did they change something that makes it not work anymore? The macro I use I got out of the sticky here on maintankadin...

Watch closely to the NPC knight. They tend to either taunt back either stun the mob just after I taunt it. Most of the time, as the given mob is outside the consecration, I loose the threat lead and it looks like righteous defense did not work.

Well I know that this wasnt working because it would not ever trigger a cool down. If I try to taunt a mob whose target of target is an npc absolutely nothing happens when I taunt.
World, do you mean I should change it to ?

Old macro says "Only taunt mobs and PCs, otherwise do nothing".
New macro says "OK, you can taunt NPCs now"

in 2.4 RD was changed so that it would "automatically" choose the best course of action when taunting, so you could target of target taunt using a macro.
However, when it comes to non-buffable NPCs, such as the Hyjal ones, you have to target the NPC and hit RD.

better to tank in hell than DPS in heaven

Hence the above macro with the "noharm" replacing "help" which solves the problem.
