Mt. Hyjal - Anetheron
Moderators: Fridmarr, Worldie, Aergis
Maybe I just got lucky but I tanked them without much issue with just my aura. There were a few spikey moments so next time I'm going to bring a piece or two of random FR gear I have in the bank.
Totally doable without though, for anyone who may be coming into this fight in the near future.

Bye space sword!

On our first kill i did not have any other resist than my aura.
We killed him at first attempt, however healers said i was considerably easier to heal on the second kill when i used capped FR gear.
So yes you can do it, just not advisable.

meh. Dropping resistance for avoidance would be silly since the majority of the incoming damage is the fire aura. As for threat, all you need is enough to allow the DPS to polish the infernal off and get back to work on Anetheron. Personally, I've had no problem with that level of threat in full FR gear, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick up more if I was having any problems with it.

And its healable by 1 healer, as I said!
You'll want the FR gear for Illidan anyway, get to work slacker!

i came to the conclusion that at least hyjal was made to piss warriors and make them skip those raids, at least after you put a pala tanking there.
Lately ive been doing hyjal with only me and druid as tanks, who needs prot wars? ^^
in anetherons case, i prefer to tank it myself, let the feral druid or DPS warrior take the infernal imo, they're no fun at all!

Yet we have it way easier to pick up the infernals, way way way easier, that's why I do it anyways.

I'm currently using a macro to pick up the Towering Infernals
Mostly because they like to spawn on the tank a lot and there's no way to pick them up fast w/o it.
/target Towering Infernal
/cast Exorcism
The only problem I have is that if a dead infernal on the ground near me, it will target that one while I'm tanking the live one.
Is there a way to make this macro understand that I want to target and cast on a living target?

/cast [nodead] Exorcism ?
Standing alone with no direction
How did I fall so far behind?
Why Am I searching for perfection?
Knowing it's something I won't find

This is what I use, it seems to work:
/target [nodead,target=Towering Infernal] Towering Infernal
then manually cast exorcism because I spam that as the infernal is spawning, so until it actually comes alive I believe this macro still targets the one that's dead.
